Improving a multi-branded e-commerce platform
The dutch and riding bikes. Need I say more? Accell is the parent organization for great Dutch and European bicycle brands such as Sparta, Batavus, Raleigh, Ghost, Lapierre, Haibike and Koga. For these brands and their dealers, Accell has an inhouse digital experience department, working on the optimization and development of their white label e-commerce platform. Happy to contribute.
Leading the UX team
At Accell I am responsible for a dedicated and ambitious UX team. We develop our knowledge and skills, improve the way we work, refine work for the development team and create new functionalities as I coach them along the way.
Generic components and a design token system for a multi-branded platform
Accell's platform supports multiple brands across various languages, each with its own unique requirements. Despite these individual needs, all brands operate seamlessly on the same platform.
By utilizing a master component set, master flow, and templates, along with an extensive design token system, we ensure that each brand receives tailored solutions while maintaining consistency and efficiency across the platform.
Approaching design
Our approach to developing new features and optimizing our platform is deeply rooted in a comprehensive foundation that includes UX research, data analysis, expert reviews, brand guidelines, and rigorous testing. By leveraging these elements, we ensure that every design decision we make is informed, strategic, and aligned with both user needs and business goals.
This process gives us the confidence that the functionalities we create not only add value but also enhance the overall user experience, ensuring that our designs are both purposeful and impactful.
